Lost in the World

1. The general premise of this video is that people are too dependent on their phones and obsessed with their self-image to notice what is going on around them. They are almost like robots with no thoughts of their own, just following a program. 2. The video is effective in conveying its message. The video is just creepy enough to make people pay attention and it shows problems of society in the form of a cartoon. 3. I feel that this video was an examination of our society today rather than a warning because many of the events happening in the video are evident today. The part where the husband and wife are taking a photo in the hospital while the new baby is crawling around shows how parents can sometimes be neglectful to their children thanks to devices. Also, when the girl jumps off the building the bystanders video it and then walk away rather than helping her. Social Media Questions 1. The trend highlight in the article is colleges tending to look up applicants on Google or social media sites. 2.  I believe this trend will continue.This is because as social media continues to becomes more widespread, it allows colleges to have more of an inside look of who they will be accepting into their college. 3. This could affect a student's future because if colleges are looking at their account and see something they don't like, they could deny admission to that student. The same goes for employers looking at an applicant's social media.
